I like the Safeway program because it’s one of the few forms of marketing that’s measurable. We’ve done many forms of advertising over the years, probably everything you can think of. We’ve narrowed our choices down to marketing we can track.
Even if we only get 10-15 coupons a week, that’s a success in our minds. However, we see a greater return along the lines of 20-25 coupons per store per week. That’s 25 tables ordering an appetizer which has low food costs and they order two entrees and beverages.
We are exposing guests to new products, bringing in cash flow and once have them here - we recognize that it’s our responsibility to bring them back in. Avenues like this allow us to expose customers to our new product lines and compete with other options, whether it be another restaurant or a backyard BBQ. We are renewing for our 3rd time.

We are renewing our ad on Safeway’s till tapes for the 3rd year in a row. It’s great, the coupons bring customers in. They come for an oil change, but we include a complimentary visual checkup. The things we start seeing are: brakes, pads and rotors, tie rod ends, tires and tire tread. When we price these out, they end of staying with us because of our rates and our service.
Our service is go great, customers send us Thank You cards regularly. We appreciate all business and love the business that comes our way from being featured at Safeway. LOVE IT!!!

We’ve been on the Safeway program for a year now. We’ve seen approximately 15 new clients come in and purchase complete eye glasses with an eye exam, all because of our Safeway coupons.
What struck me in particular was the number of people requesting eye exams from the ad - which we did not advertise, but I am more than happy to provide.
I’m renewing for another year and going to incorporate the eye exam angle into my ad to see how that creates traffic.

We really like being featured on Safeway’s register tapes. When we first started, we did a buy one get one free because of the cold winter months. That offer really helped maintain our business, and we often see as many as 40 coupons a week.
With the warmer weather, we changed our offer to buy one get one HALF PRICE. That’s working well too. I think we have a nice momentum going, and people are encouraged to come to Tutti Frutti because of our coupon. I know I’m going to keep on doing it and I’m renewing for another year.
